André Trindade is an Assistant Professor at Nova School of Business and Economics, and the Graduate School of Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (EPGE-FGV). He received his PhD in Economics from Northwestern University in 2011 and his B.A. in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE) in Lisbon. His academic research is centered in the areas of Quantitative Marketing and Empirical Industrial Organization, and consists in developing econometric models to understand consumer and firm behavior, and implications for profitability and regulation. Recently, he has worked on topics such as intermediation, B2B bargaining, consumer search, and retailing. is research has been published in academic journals such as RAND Journal of Economics, Management Science, Journal of Public Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, among others. André has experience working as a Senior Economist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Bates White Economic Consulting
