Andrea Coletta

Andrea Coletta is a researcher in the Applied IT Research Team of Banca d’Italia since 2023. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Sapienza University of Rome and he works at the intersection of artificial intelligence and finance, with a focus on generative models. His research investigates how AI can be applied to the simulation and analysis of complex economic systems, combining methods from machine learning, time-series modeling, and agent-based approaches. He has authored more than 30 scientific publications, and his latest work focuses on fairness and explainability, with a particular emphasis on the alignment and factual accuracy of large language models.
