Competition, Persuasion, and Search
The CEPR Virtual IO Seminar (VIOS) was created to provide an alternative to IO seminars cancelled due to travel restrictions brought on by the Coronavirus. The long-run goal, however, is to turn it into a permanent platform for sharing the benefits of regular IO seminars. Seminars are balanced between both theoretical and empirical approaches to IO. Presentations last for about 45 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of formal discussion and then 10 minutes of Q&A.
29 October 2025: Teddy Mekonnen (Brown University), Competition, Persuasion, and Search.
Discussant: Theo Durandard (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).
