David Chills is a Lecturer in Economic History at King's College London. Before coming to King's, David taught economic history at the University of Groningen and the LSE. He studied economics and econometrics at the University of Essex and the LSE and did a PhD in historical sociology at the University of Surrey. David’s research focuses on the quantitative analysis of processes of socio-economic change, like the evolution of markets or transformations of the occupational structure, over the very long-run. He has a specific expertise on European history but has also researched world history.
