Davide Furceri is the Division Chief of the Fiscal Policy and Surveillance Division within the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF. Previously, he served as the Mission Chief for Cambodia and Brunei and as Deputy Division Chief in the Asia and Pacific Department. His prior positions at the IMF include roles in the Research Department and the Middle East and Central Asia Department. Furceri has published extensively in policy-oriented and prominent academic journals—such as American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, Review of Economists and Statistics and Journal of the European Economic Association—on various topics, including macroeconomics, public finance, international macroeconomics, and structural reforms.
