Gianluigi Ferrucci

Gianluigi Ferrucci is Principal Economist in the Directorate General Monetary Policy at the European Central Bank (ECB), where he has worked since 2006 in various roles. He coordinated the Climate Change and Monetary Policy Workstream during the ECB’s 2021 Strategy Review and served as Adviser at the IMF from 2013 to 2014. Since August 2022, he has been seconded to the IMF’s European Department, focusing on monetary policy spillovers, export competitiveness, and EU climate policy. Previously, he was an Economist at the Bank of England. His research spans monetary policy, international economics, macroeconomics, financial stability, and climate change, with articles published in leading journals.
