Joris Tielens holds a PhD in Economics from KU Leuven and is currently a senior economist in the Research Department of the National Bank of Belgium. His research interests include macroeconomics—particularly the use of micro data for macro models, production networks, and structural estimation—as well as financial economics, with a focus on empirical banking and financial frictions.
