Massimiliano Pisani is a Director in the Modelling and Forecasting Division of the Economic Outlook and Monetary Policy Directorate, Directorate General for Economics, Statistics and Research, at Bank of Italy. His main fields of interest are dynamic general equilibrium models, in particular monetary and open-economy models, and international macroeconomics. His contributions include the forecast of oil prices, the analysis of global imbalances, the macroeconomic effects of non-standard monetary policy measures, energy shocks, fiscal policy and structural reforms. He visited the Research Departments of European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund, New York Fed, Minneapolis Fed and the Economics Department of University of Minnesota. He earned a Phd in Economics from the London School of Economics.
