Rie Matsumoto

Rie Matsumoto is a Consulting Fellow at Japan's Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry, and a PhD candidate at University College London. She has served in Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for over fifteen years, most recently as Director of the Office for Technology Policy Planning. Her research focuses on technology security, with a particular emphasis on risk assessment of access to critical emerging technologies.
