Ziran Ding is a lecturer in Economics at the University of St Andrews Business School. In 2025, he visited Bank for International Settlements (BIS) as a Central Bank Research Fellow. Prior to that, he worked as a senior research economist at the Research Center (CEFER) at the Bank of Lithuania and a senior research fellow at Kaunas University of Technology. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Washington. His research focuses on international macroeconomics and trade, with a particular emphasis on the policy implications of globalization and deglobalization.
