Tigran Poghosyan

Tigran Poghosyan is the Resident Representative to Mongolia. He joined the IMF in 2009 and covered Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Jordan, and Yemen in his previous assignments. He also served as the Resident Representative to the Kyrgyz Republic during 2019-23. He was the principal contributor to various issues of the IMF Fiscal Monitor over 2012-16. Prior to the IMF, he worked at the Central Bank of Armenia and was a visiting researcher at the Deutsche Bundesbank. His work on public finance, monetary policy, banking, and international finance has featured in IMF publications, books, and peer-reviewed journals. He holds two PhDs in Economics; from CERGE-EI and the University of Groningen.
