€-coin remains stable in October

• €-coin remained broadly unchanged in October compared with the previous month (0.49, against 0.48 in September).
• The indicator was affected by the weakness in industrial activity, while it was boosted by improved confidence among households and firms.
• The €-coin indicator developed by Banca d’Italia provides a summary index of the current economic situation in the euro area. The indicator is an estimate of quarterly GDP growth shorn of the most erratic components (seasonal variations, measurement errors and short-run volatility). €-coin is published monthly by Banca d’Italia and CEPR.
• The next publication dates for €-coin are Wednesday, 3 December 2025 and Wednesday, 7 January 2026 (to be confirmed).
